FAQ
Who can attend our classes?
Everyone is welcome to attend our classes; however, we do request that children to be 10 years or older. Families learning karate together are what we are designed for. Older adults also find our classes very rewarding. Private lesson are also available for the more serious students. Any age, any level is welcome. No experience is required.
How much does it cost?
Since our class is not for profit, all proceeds collected are used to purchase equipment and provide additional training opportunities. We suggest a $25/month donation to help purchase training equipment. However, an inability to make a donation will NEVER disqualify anyone from attending.
Where and when can I attend?
Our classes are held on Tuesday nights from 6:30-8:30p.m. in the fellowship hall of Ken Caryl Baptist Church located at 8395 W Ken Caryl Ave, Littleton, CO 80120. New students are always welcome.
Who will be teaching me?
Andy Pulford is the instructor. He has been studying Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate since 2000. He holds a Godan rank in Ryukyu Shaolin Shaikai under Hanshi Jerry Partain and a Nidan rank in Shorin Ryu Kenshinkan Karatedo Association under Hanshi Fusei Kise. He has been teaching at Ken Caryl Baptist Church since 2009.
What kind of equipment do I need?
We recommend that students try our classes for a month before purchasing any equipment. The majority of training equipment is provided for you. We do ask that you purchase a gi (uniform). If you cannot afford a uniform, one will be provided to you.
Do I have to be a member of Ken Caryl Baptist Church?
No. You do not have to be a member of the church nor are you required to attend services, but the church would love to have you as a guest at any of their services throughout the week.
